Text message reminders

How lab818 Studios uses text messages, and how to stop them.

In short Text reminders are optional and opt-in. If you tick the box when booking, lab818 Studios texts you about your own sessions — about one message per booking. Reply STOP to end them. We never send marketing texts, and we never sell or share your number.

How you opt in

While booking a session at our booking page, after entering your own name, email and mobile number, there is an unchecked box you can tick. It reads, word for word:

Yes, text me about this session. By ticking this box you agree to receive SMS text messages from lab818 studios about your own bookings — session reminders, changes and your files when they’re ready — about 1 message per booking. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

The box is empty unless you tick it, and your booking goes through either way. You can also turn reminders on or off at any time from your account, or by emailing [email protected].

What we send

A reminder the day before your session, with the time and where to come.
A message if your session is moved or cancelled.
A message when your files are ready, with the link to them.

That is all. No marketing, no offers, no newsletters. Examples of the actual messages:

Frequency, cost and how to stop

Frequency: roughly one message per session you book.
Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan.
Stop: reply STOP to any message. They end immediately and permanently.
Start again: reply START, or tick the box on your next booking.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Twilio sends the messages on our behalf and processes your number only for that. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy and the SMS section of our Terms of Service.
